New Pics
Heather and I came out to Missouri to see family. At the same time I am using the time to visit flight schools and try to find an instructor job. We have gotten a lot of good pictures as we've introduced Elise to her many family members around here. Here's a little slideshow of some of the pics!

A Blissful Discovery!
Recently Elise has discovered her thumb. Or discovered how to release it from her fist! Not very long ago she really started getting into sucking on her hand. Its really funny because it's so loud that you can hear it from anywhere in the apartment when she is sucking on her hand. We tried to give her a pacifier one time and we got scared afterwards because she exhibited some strange behavior. So maybe out of necessity she discovered how to separate her thumb from her fist and suck on it. Now she does it every time we put her down to bed. She usually sucks on it a while and falls asleep. Then when we check on her we see something like this:
The other day my friend and neighbor Jeffrey stopped bye, "packin' Zeke"! I thought little Zeke in that pack looked so cute I had to get a picture of them.
It reminded me of a similar moment from five or so months ago. Look at how much the little dude has grown!!

What a Superbowl!
As a Cardinals' fan, my heart aches a little bit for what might been last night. But I must say (and I may be a little biased) but was that not one of the most exciting Superbowls ever? And how proud the Cardinals can be to have been a part of it, and to have almost completed the biggest comeback in superbowl history. They came agonizingly short when Pittsburgh marched the whole field and scored the winning touchdown at the end of the game, but what a wonderful run by the Cardinals, and what a thrilling game! Great season Cardinals!
Elise was really fired up about the Cardinals being in the superbowl. She doesn't know anything about their long, difficult history though. So far they have never failed to get to the big game in her lifetime. So anyways we went ahead and made her a little outfit out of puff paint for her to watch the game in.

And here she is settled in watching the game.

Here's Elise with Daddy

Elise was pretty happy after Larry Fitzgerald scored the go-ahead touchdown for the Cardinals in the 4th quarter.

And then she was pretty upset when the Steelers scored the game winning touchdown. We calmed her down though and sent her to bed.
