We're not alone!

A common question friends and family ask is if there are other English speaking people around to relate to as we adjust to Indonesia. The answer is a big yes! We are blessed to have 8 other families with Mission Aviation Fellowship here in Salatiga learning Bahasa Indonesia along with us!

Five of the nine families are new as of the last two months here. I guess that makes us one of the "veterans" that have been here over six months! Feels so wierd since just yesterday we were in their shoes.  We had a picnic at the park yesterday, and it was the first time we've gotten all nine families together.  The ladies and guys respectively have weekly bible studies together, and we all frequently have each other over for dinner, but to all get together is a large undertaking!  It was a blast though, and we hope we can do it frequently.

One funny thing about our nine families is that there happen to be eight babies all under one year old.  Amazingly, Ian is the only boy!

Here's a cute video of that moment....

There are a few "older" kids too....here's one with all the kiddos...

So we're pretty blessed with our friends here. It's a challenging thing adjusting to a new culture and way of life, and it sure helps to have friends to go through it with together!
