Two Saturdays ago Elise and I re-instated an old tradition of ours, the Daddy-Daughter date!
It was Saturday morning brekfast at KFC. We used to do this all the time at Mcdonalds in the states, especially when Heather was pregnant with Ian and needed a break on Saturday mornings.
Well what's for brekfast at KFC in Indonesia? It's pretty tasty. Elise is eating a waffle. They have pancakes, french toast, tater tots, eggs, and a brekfast burrito (that has spicy chicken in it as well as egg...but it's growing on me!). You can also get regular chicken and rice (which we saw most of the locals there eating for brekfast! According to Indonesians, it doesn't matter what meal it is, if you haven't eaten rice yet, you haven't eaten. They also have some pretty decent coffe. They will even deliver it to your house on a motorcycle for free! (We haven't availed ourselves of that service yet).
And of course the playground is an essential element of the daddy daughter date. The KFC playground is pretty simple, but fun. A couple slides and this padded trampoline. Elise loves the trampoline!
